Tear staining is another common issue in Persians (espcially the doll faced and punch face persians), and humidity can sometimes make it more pronounced. Their diet also plays a role in maintaining their coat health. A high-quality cat food rich in omega fatty acids can help keep their fur lustrous and healthy. It is generally recommended to keep Persian cats primarily indoors to protect them from the heat, humidity, and potential outdoor hazards. While they might enjoy a supervised stroll in a cool evening, the indoors is their true sanctuary in our climate.
